I understand that it can be anxiety provoking: admitting to yourself that you’d like support and then scrolling through this long list of search results. Choosing a therapist and beginning this process is a big first step and I commend you for coming this far. The right fit is important, and you’ll know when you find someone with whom you can connect with and trust. Clients are experts on their own lives. You have been with you a lot longer than I have, so you are already equipped with everything you need to be your most preferred self. My role is to fine tune and shine a spotlight on the parts of you that may be overlooked, scary to acknowledge out loud, or have yet to be discovered. I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life; from children and families in the system, to young adults struggling with a host of mental health challenges and substance abuse, to people in the entertainment industry, to CEO’s of companies and everyone in between. Each person is unique so the approach and treatment plan should be as unique and tailored to your specific needs and desires. Together we will unpack and work through the things that are keeping you stuck. Whatever it is you are carrying, you do not have to do it alone. I genuinely welcome anyone willing to embark on this rewarding journey. I look forward to getting started and staying by your side throughout it. Let’s find out if I’m the right therapist for you; contact me whenever you’re ready and we’ll schedule a free 20 min phone call.
My approach to therapy and mental health is very holistic and eclectic. I believe that you have to support a person, couple or family mind, body and spirit in order to create real healing and wholeness. 5 years ago I began creating, developing and presenting presentations on Self-Care, Anxiety/Stress in the Workplace, Cultural Diversity and Competency and now travel all through California giving presentations. I also created an event series “From Darkness to Art” that focuses on people who use the medium of art whether that is painting, film, photography, singing, dancing, comedy or music as a way of coping with their mental wellness or as a person that has been directly affected by challenges of mental wellness. It gives a voice to a subject that continues to be taboo in our society through a medium which everyone can relate to and love, which is Art.
